An American cameraman who has tested positive
for ebola in Liberia is "scared and worried" but is also showing mild
symptoms, his family said.
Ashoka Mukpo, 33, was helping to cover the outbreak in Liberia for NBC News when he was diagnosed. He will be flown back to the US for treatment, possibly on Sunday, his parents said on NBC's Today show.
Mr Mukpo's father Dr Mitchell Levy said he had spoken with his son earlier in the day and he was "cheerful".
"Obviously he is scared and worried," he said. "He's been filming what’s happening in Liberia for two weeks and seeing the death and tragedy and now it's really hit home for him.
